SAIS have been running trials for over 7 years and have
developed refined equipment that yields results which will allow acceptance or rejection of welds to a radiographic specification. The two major advantages over conventional UT are that permanent records are produced, and we can test more complex geometry, such as fitting to fitting due to the small scanning area required.
